Goro seems to have been a rather quiet child, alot like how he is now. He has lived his entire life in Tokyo, with his parents and an older sister. He went to a school for child celebrities, which Tsuyoshi also attended. By the time of the filming of "Tokyo Daigaku Monogatari", he moved out of his parent's home, and got his own place, and also purchased a car. His mother, in a Duet interview, expressed concern that he'd get into a car accident and be unable to do his own laundry (awww, kawaii!). Out of all the members of Smap, he seems to get along best with Takuya. In 1996, he has done appearances on "Much Ado About Love" with Sanma-san.
